Of course, as is usually the case with unique caliber guns, they're not without their fair share of quirks. The Yorck's primary armament is unique to itself, as it is the only ship in-game that sports 210mm cannons. Offensive Armament - Main Guns & Torpedoes However, she's fairly maneuverable, has great horizontal firing arcs, carries torpedoes for emergencies, and packs quite a punch when underestimated. She's squishy, her guns handle oddly, and she's not as forgiving as other ships of the line. The Yorck, being the first CA in the German line, generates an interesting amount of hate, but as far as tier 7s are concerned, she is certainly not the most-loathed. I'll provide my best method of success, though, but it's not the absolute playstyle. Now, onward to the Yorck! My main purpose here is to enlighten you on her characteristics, giving you the knowledge to determine how you should use it. Bear in mind, reader, that this is not the be-all, end-all guide to this ship. The goal here, of course, is to try and shed some light on the strengths and weaknesses of this particular vessel, with as close to an objective analysis as I can get (even if I do tend to ramble), and a writeup on how to make the best of your experience during your time in the Yorck. Seeing as how my time in the Yorck was, at the very least, pleasant, I figured the old girl was at least due for something of a writeup now that I have moved on to the Admiral Hipper. Problem is, I can't recall ever seeing a proper, formal review on her, either. Be gentle.ĭespite the Yorck being one of the most hated ships of the Kriegsmarine line (though overall not quite as hated as the Pensacola, insofar as I can tell), towards the end of my grind through her, I actually began to like the ship. It is subject to change with upcoming patches.
